Cancer Caregivers: Recharge Yourself!

September 1, 2009

relaxing Greetings Fellow Cancer Caregivers! We hope you had a great beginning to your week!

We are feeling rejuvenated after a busy weekend. As usual, there was a lot of work to be done at home. It is easy to get caught up in the “all work and no play” syndrome, isn’t it? We made a point to reserve Sunday for a special day. My daughter and I spent the afternoon at a Dinner Theatre. We had a Champagne Brunch and watched a great play called, “I Do, I Do”. After that, we topped off the day with an hour of rambling around the beautiful gardens of the Victorian Style Bed and Breakfast where the event was held.

It truly was a very relaxing day! It put me in a new frame of mind. I found myself smiling all day Monday! I hope you and your loved ones found some time to spend together, relax, and enjoy each other’s company over the weekend. If not, why not build it into your plans for next weekend? You may be very busy caring for your loved one, but try to find a little time to recharge yourself. You and your loved one will be the better for it! Remember to take care of yourself, so you can take care of your loved one with cancer!
