New Years Resolution

January 3, 2010

Happy New Year!  It’s hard to believe that 2010 is here.  Each time we throw out last year’s calendar and put the calendar for the new year in it’s place, we have a reminder of how quickly the past year has gone by.

What will you “do” with the new year?  How many resolutions have you heard friends and family reciting?  Have you made any resolutions?  Whether you are into resolutions or not, this time of year offers us all reminders to examine how we live our lives.  What would you like to do better?  What areas of your life would you like to improve on?  As a caregiver, you may not have a lot of time to do what you would like to or should do.

Make a commitment.  Make a resolution to take better care of yourself in 2010.  Do you need to improve your diet?  Are you struggling to find time to exercise?  Do you neglect your sleep habits?  Making a commitment to yourself at this time of year is a wonderful way to start the new year.  Start fresh.  It will give you a new sense of control at a time when you really need a boost.  Be accountable to yourself and a buddy.  Take care of yourself.  Commit and be renewed.  I know you can do it!  By doing so, you really will be heading into a HAPPY New Year!
